Course Profile
This
course is intended for anyone who is involved in the task of for developing,
implementing managing or improving a management system.
It is
applicable to any type of management system and most standards and specifications
including Quality (ISO 9000), Environmental (ISO 14000), Occupational Health
and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and other managment systems standards.
More
specialised courses are tailored on request to cover other requirements such as
customer service excellence, medical devices, information security, business
continuity etc.
It is
designed to give a practical understanding of the purposes and requirements of
the relevant standards and is aligned with the Publicly Available
Specification PAS 99 - Integrated Management. It covers the principles and
techniques of risk assessment and risk management, the application of a process
approach and good practice in implementing highly effective flexible and
non-bureaucratic processes.
With a
mixture of presentation, interactive sessions and active workshops, the course
develops the principles and practices risk based process management and shows
how these can be used to improve the performance of the organisation and to
reduce organisational waste.
The
learning methods used are highly interactive and allow delegates to learn
through active involvement. In-company processes or case study examples can be
used as learning examples.
At the
end of this course delegates will have gained an understanding of how to
co-ordinate the implementation of a management system that is aligned with the
organisation’s business objectives, based on identified risks, with effective
controls, reduced documentation, systematic performance measurement and continual
improvement processes.
